Brome Grass: | 5 kgs | The Brome grass family are best suited to free draining soils with moderate to high fertility. They will not persist on poorly drained soil types. Very palatable with good average quality. |
Timothy: | 2 kgs | Mainly used as an important part of any pasture seed mix where high spring / summer production is required is therefore better suited to areas where summer moisture is assured. |
Perennial ryegrasses: | 10 kgs | An excellent base for a permanent pasture mix, Good palatability, and establishment |
Italian ryegrass | 5 kgs | Italian ryegrasses are natural biennials. Unlike annuals these types typically last at least two years and are characterised by strong establishment and high levels of winter activity. |
Phalaris: | 1 kgs | Grow with vigour during the Autumn, Winter and Spring but is semi – dormant during the summer. This helps increase persistence. They have a well- developed rhizomatous root system which make it very tolerant of grass grub attack. |
White Clover: | 2 kgs | In White clover, leaf size generally means more potential yield. However, a high stolon density means that there is better tolerance of adverse conditions, such as drought, pest’s or pugging. It is important to select the right clover for the situation based on these attributes. |
Red Clover: | 3 kgs | Red clover is a short lived (typically 2-4 years), tap rooted legume mostly sown in summer dry areas where summer grazing is less intensive. In intensive grazing systems red clover typically does not perform or persist well. |
Sub Clover: | 4 kgs | Sub Clover are annual clovers breed to perform well in summer conditions. Being an annual clover, it must be allowed to re – seed to persist into the second and subsequent seasons. |
Persian clover | 2 kgs | Can be used as either a special purpose forage crop or used in seed mixes with Italian ryegrasses, cereals or brassicas as a self-regenerating and highly nutritive plant. |
