Devour Tetraploid Ryegrass
Devour is a quick growing short term ryegrass that can be established well into late Autumn / early Winter.
Devour is the latest in a long line of very successful short term ryegrasses starting originally with the popular Apollo.
Devour is a high performance ryegrass that is suitable where quick, high quality and bulk feed is required.
Being a tetraploid Devour has a bigger seed size so it can be established into less than perfect ground conditions and still get going quickly, we recommend a sowing rate of 25 kgs per hectare.
Devour is designed to last you through until mid / late November.

Kano Italian Ryegrass
If you need a grass to last longer than Devour then look no further than our Kano Italian ryegrass.
Once again Kano is very quick to establish, suitable for a wide range of soil types, fertility ranges and stock types but it differs to Devour in that it will persist for a longer period of time.
In normal seasons Kano will last you into the New Year and in a good summer season well beyond, normally persisting between 12 - 18 months.

Enrich Persian Clover
Dryland farmers in Australia use 100's of tonnes of Persian clovers normally in a mix with either a Devour or Kano type ryegrass. Persian (sometimes known as shaftal clovers) when added to these grasses help improve the dry matter yield and also can significantly improve the quality of grasses as we.
The photo to the right shows some of the potential of this new to New Zealand product. This picture was taken at our dry land trial site and in this trial Enrich yielded 9 tonne dry matter, + per hectare.

Greenfeed Oats
The simple truth is that over the winter months Greenfeed Oats will grow about twice as quick as ryegrasses. They like Devour and Kano are easy to manage and will provide a large bulk of winter feed quickly.
In years like this you will normally only get one grazing and therefore are often used in a mix with grasses like
Devour or
Kano.
When doing this we recommend you drill 80 kgs Greenfeed Oats then broadcast either 25 kgs Devour or 20 kgs Kano over the top. If you are sowing just straight Oats then you will need to increase your sowing rate to at least 100 kgs per hectare.
